The Planning Committee of Loggerheads Parish Council meets on the same day as the Full Council Meeting at 7pm.
The Council has set up a Strategic Planning Group to consider the applications for major development and to work on the Neighbourhood Plan. The Group comprises Cllrs Ian Douglas, June Hodgkins, Ed Martin, Jamie Friend, Leah Gibson, John Pimlott and Jim Vallings.
The Parish Council is a statutory consultee on all planning applications considered by Newcastle under Lyme Borough Council (the Local Planning Authority) which affect our Parish, including some in neighbouring authorities or parishes.
The Parish Council itself has no powers to determine applications but as a a consultee it is able to comment on behalf of the community on all development control planning applications and it takes an active role in local enforcement issues assisting Newcastle under Lyme Borough Council in identifying areas where planning conditions are potentially being breached.
To access all details of Planning Applications please use the Planning Portal on the Newcastle under Lyme Borough Council website www.newcastle-staffs.gov.uk. If you wish your comments to be considered by the Parish Council when forming their views, please make your views known to your local ward councillor or the council clerk (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Loggerheads Parish Council is represented at NULBC Planning Committee by Borough Councillor (to be advised)
